Carruthers & Roth Attorney Greg Williams Is Top Fundraiser for 2017 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Event

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Carruthers & Roth attorney Gregory S. Williams was recently recognized as the top fundraiser for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2017 “Triad Light The Night Executive Challenge,” raising $17,380 to benefit blood cancer research.

Greg also ranked eleventh statewide among the 59 North Carolina executives who participated in the challenge. Together they raised more than $650,000.

The Light The Night Executive Challenge is a national campaign to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society fund research to find blood cancer cures. Greg, who has been fighting chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) for over a decade, attributes his remission to an immunotherapy treatment funded by the LLS.

“The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has funded research and development of monoclonal antibodies and other groundbreaking therapies,” Greg explains. “I participated in the Triad Executive Challenge to make sure that these treatments continue to be developed and that one day CLL and all blood cancers will be curable.”

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night takes place each fall in more than 200 communities across the United States and Canada to honor and commemorate lives touched by blood cancer. The 2017 Triad Light The Night Walk took place on October 7th, 2017 in Greensboro’s Country Park. Greg, along with the Carruthers & Roth team, will be participating again in the 2018 event on October 6th .

Greg was recognized for his fundraising efforts in Forbes Magazine and in an ad in the February edition of the Triad Business Journal.
