Carruthers & Roth Hosts 2017 Business & Tax Seminar

Greensboro, N.C. – On Wednesday, December 6, 2017, Carruthers & Roth, P.A. hosted its annual Business and Tax Seminar in Downtown Greensboro, welcoming more than 200 CPA’s and industry professionals. Ten attorneys from the firm’s Business, Tax & Estates and Litigation Practice areas presented on a variety of topics relating to business law and taxation. Several topics presented at the seminar included employment law and benefit updates, 529 plans, the CPA’s role in business litigation, and a 2017 federal income tax update.

In addition to the firm’s presenters, the Business and Tax Seminar featured guest speaker Larry Diana, former owner of Express Employment Professionals, to speak on workplace demographics. As an active researcher of demographics in the workplace, Diana spoke about generational differences and challenges in the professional world through his presentation, “What You Need to Know about Millennials.” Diana currently operates a consulting business that helps local companies with team building strategies and organizational effectiveness. He prides himself on being an effective business leader and community activist.
